Thank you for this video. Iam a technician helping a friend with his refridgerator and this video answered everything. He is running on A/c only with no batteries and his fridge keeps cutting out, but when I hit the water pump or the slide out it will kick the fridge back on. Well you just made me realize why.. His converter is bad and Im guessing that its over charging hitting the slide out is pulling such a load that its dropping it down enough to alow it back on.. Im pretty sure the diodes are bad in the converter because I was picking up quite a bit A/C voltage at the dc leads and fuses. Thank you very much!!

My sail switch is clean and working properly. However my fan starts to run for about 2 seconds then shuts off for 2 seconds then runs for 2 seconds and shuts off for 2 seconds. Cage is spinning very slowly. Any thoughts.

Would it be a problem to mount the new converter right near the battery bank?

Hi Darren, I have a relatively new 12v fridge ( jan '24...dometic dmc4101). Came back from vacation about a week ago freezer fine, fridge about between 60 and 70 degrees! Other than warranty work would you have any ideas? Thanks David

I'm in the process of changing out my factory dual stage regulator that is rated @190,000 btu . I'm installing a dual regulator that rated for 345,000 btu. Bot are rated @11 ounces. Will this create a problem for my rv. Thanks

Thanks for the info on Arctic Mode... news to me how I could cool things down quickly. When I start my fridge I add a few half gallon milk cartons of ice to help it along. My Dometic is in a 2016 Leprechaun and does not have the buttons that tell the boiler how long to stay on, maybe they "moved on" from those buttons. I have a button to select electric, one for LP and one for Auto. Very simplified. Thanks for your videos. I choose to have technicians do the work when I need it but I like understanding the problems and the process. ✌☮

My 2016 Pleasure Way XLTD has a Dometic RML 8330 that wasn't getting very cold. After watching your other videos I found the burner too rusted to clean (even a soft bottle brush broke the burner tube slots!) and so I have a replacement coming. In the meantime I watched your videos on how these things work, climbed up on a ladder and checked behind the top vent cover. Happy to say PW isn't nearly as bad as your examples! The back could be closer but at least is sealed and angled for less turbulence. Air rising up the front however mostly bypasses the cooling fins and goes right out the vent. I have the sheet metal and other materials, so tomorrow I will fashion a really nice duct to get all that air flowing smoothly across the condenser heat sink fins. Thanks!

We were just ready to pull out of our driveway and tried bringing in our slide out and it was trying to go in on one side and not the other. We did what he said to do. Wow it worked great! We didn't know to keep pushing the button after it was in or out and we lubed the slides. Thank you so much!!! We were able to go after all!

My refrigerator and 4 different outlets stopped working at the same time. Refrigerator works on gas but no electricity. I have 120v from power to ground on all outlets and only 55v from power to neutral?? I think I’ve dropped a neutral but how do I find it? Gfci protected outlets and only one resettable one in the bathroom that works fine ?? Help!!!

Well I just found your videos, I have 12 volt 120 propane Dometic RM2454 freezer works great.. refrigerator is 65°. Have tested the thermistor have moved it up and down.. does this mean it's my cooling unit? Do I take the fridge out and turn it upside down? And I've watched a video and replacing the cooling unit I'm game because my fridge will not fit out my door.. thanks so much for your videos and your knowledge that you've shared with us

I’m thinking of getting certified to help out family and our RV. I’m not really in Need of money, being I’m retired. My family all owns Rv’s, and I could save all of them money too. I really love your channel alot of great info. I'm hoping you can help me, I'm having trouble with my big table and couch slide. When bringing slide in it sticks and then let's loose and bangs and pops. After that it comes the rest of the way in just fine. Also when the slide is all the way out are the rack bars suppose to be level???? Thanks for any help

always had a cooling problem with my norcold RV refrigerator. I watched your video and saw exactly what was wrong with mine. I installed a baffle on the top to redirect the air through the eveporator and it made the temepeatrure cool 18 degrees cooler. Thank you so much for the help. I live in mid New York State.

Oh, this is a great video. As a subscriber, I look to learn from you! Thank you for sharing. Well, as experienced and wise as you are, I think I have a “gotcha”!,!,! 🫣. I have a Dometic RM2454 frig. As expected, the eye brow display lights are lit for automatic and ac when on shore power. At times, randomly and unexpectedly each and eventually all lights on display light on eyebrow. The cycling sometimes occurs for as much as 20 minutes several times a day before the finally settle on “automatic “ and “ac”! times run. Never know when the cycling will occur!!! Any idea what’s is going on? Thank you, “Professor” for tour time, teaching and patience. Do you have any thoughts as to what is happening?

What if you do not have the panel on top? My refrigerator doesn't have a panel on the outside, but there does seem to be room on top on the inside with a non removable panel.

That looks like replacement canvas to me… mostly because the lift arms have no covers… As they are, if they are left uncovered during a rainstorm, rain will be channeled right into the body of the camper down to where the lifts connect to the floor/frame. My StarCraft pop up has flaps that Velcro’s around the lift arms to deflect any water away.

Our 2014 Thor came with 3 issues. Truck doesn't charge house battery. 30amp in campground drains truck battery. Aux start switch doesn't do anything 😞 At 1st CW ducked phone calls but got hungry during the pandemic, kept the rv for 7 weeks and didn't fix anything 😑 Our arwing some times doesn't want to retract. Once it was a corroded fuse. I unplug near the motor and run a jumper

I have a 2024 surveyor with the schwintec system can these be manually cranked in and out when a motor goes bad after you disconnect the motors where they are free is there a way to manually crank the slide in and out? appreciate any help

Mine isn’t cooling well and incapable of freezing. 48 is the best I can get right now. Based on what’s in this video I’m betting it’s a blockage but I’ll look into more later. I haven’t seen or smelt anything and the airflow is set up correctly.
